The Eibar tweet involving Enrich and Luna which has gone viral
The Basque club posted about a goal which had been scored -- but it's now take on a double meaning
After a sex tape featuring Eibar duo Sergi Enrich and Antonio Luna was leaked on Wednesday, a tweet made by the Basque club has gone viral.
The reason being that the tweet has now taken on a double meaning: “Minute 69. Killer pass from Antonio Luna to Sergi Enrich, who scores in the open goal. 2-0 in Ipurua. Aupa Eibar.”
The two players were surprised by the appearance of the images and released a joint statement.
They say they were neither conscious of nor consenting to the leaking of the video.
On top of that, they apologise for its appearance and state that they understand as footballers they should be leading by example.
They’re particularly sorry to the club, the supporters, the town of Eibar and the third person involved.
Isco prepared to leave Real Madrid if he doesn't get playing time
The midfielder says he will be a success, even if that is not at the Santiago Bernabeu
Isco says he could leave Real Madrid if he doesn’t get regular playing time at the Bernabeu.
The midfielder has played just 192 minutes of football this season in all competitions after a summer which saw him linked with Premier League side Tottenham and even a return to Malaga.
However, he says he still wants to prove himself at Madrid, although he is prepared to leave if that doesn’t prove possible.
“I have spent practically two months without playing," he said in an interview with Marca.
"It's difficult when you're training well and the manager does not put you in.
"But in the end it's my own fault. In the end it is me who is responsible. I want to see where I can improve to get in there.
"I am not going to give in easily. I know I will be a success.
“I don't know if that will be with Madrid -- I hope so. But if not, I will be a success somewhere else."
Isco, despite a lack of game time with his club, was called up to the latest Spain squad and is currently with the national team preparing for the matches against Italy and Albania.
Iniesta laments missed opportunity for Barça to move top of La Liga
The Barcelona captain couldn't complain about the result but was upset about a missed opportunity
Andres Iniesta had no complaints about Barcelona’s loss to Celta Vigo at Balaidos. In quotes to Movistar, the midfielder admitted that “Celta got the better of us, that’s evident. That was the sensation on the pitch and it’s shown in the scoreline. In the second half we tried, we knew that if we got a goal we were back in the game. We got the goal, and a second, but when you have such a negative scoreline it’s not easy to turn things around.”
He continued: “We tried, but it wasn’t to be. Celta were the winners. Sometimes there are situations when you’re not right, when the rival gets the better of you. [Celta] are good, they know how to play and the penalised us a lot in the first half. In the second half, with everything lost, we’ve gone on the attack, but it wasn’t enough.”
Iniesta came on at half-time to make his 600th appearance for Barcelona. He was involved in both of the goals. He had no complaints about Luis Enrique’s team selection: “The manager picks the team, those that play, and I don’t have anything to say. We’ve tried to give everything, but it was not to be. It’s a shame as it was an opportunity to go to the top [of the table] and it’s not been possible.”
Finally, he defender Marc-Andre ter Stegen, whose mistake led to Celta’s fourth goal: “They’re situations which happen. [An error] is definitive in the position of a goalkeeper, but it’s our way of playing.”
Two goal Gerard Pique says Barcelona have a lot to improve on
The defender analysed the defeat and Ter Stegen's error after the game in Vigo
Gerard Pique was one of the protagonists of Celta Vigo’s 4-3 win over Barcelona, scoring twice as the Catalan side were beaten for the second consecutive season at Balaidos. Speaking after the game, he didn’t bite his tongue, blaming a poor first half for his side’s second league defeat of the season.
“In the first half we started well, but the [Celta] goal affected us,” said Pique after scoring two goals in a game for the first time since 2006 with Spain U19s. “Then they’ve scored two quick goals. In the second half we played better and we didn’t have anything to lose. It almost came off. It’s a lesson.
“You have to highlight the team’s reaction and pride we’ve shown, but there are a lot of things to learn. There’s a long way to go in La Liga and it’s really tight.”
The Barcelona defender didn’t want to analyse the lineup selected by Luis Enrique: “It’s easy to talk about [rotations] now. The team the manager put out is the one he felt was the best [for the game], we’re not going to complain about it now.”
DEFENDS TER STEGEN
Gerard Pique also came out in defence of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who gave away the fourth goal. “He is good with his feet and a lot of our moves are started by him. Everyone makes mistakes. May he continue playing as he does. I firmly believe that he has to continue in the same way,” Pique said, before adding: “Knowing how he is, I am sure this error won’t effect him.”
Real Madrid suffer further injury blows with Varane and Benzema hit
Madrid are already struggling and Benzema and Varane may have problems sustained in the draw with Eibar
Real Madrid could be in more injury trouble after Raphael Varane and Karim Benzema picked up injuries during the 1-1 draw with Eibar.
They already have Marcelo, Luka Modric and Casemiro out injured and now the French duo could be a new issue.
“Both of them picked up small knocks,” admitted Zidane after the game.
“Karim felt a twinge in his knee. We'll have to wait for the scan. Varane took a real blow on the back of his thigh. We hope he'll be back fit soon and it's nothing more than a knock".
Zinedine Zidane: Real Madrid are not in crisis, it's October!
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane asked for calm after Los Blancos drew their fourth game in a row
Zinedine Zidane insisted Real Madrid are not in crisis despite drawing four games in a row, against Villarreal, Las Palmas, Borussia Dortmund and now Eibar.
"We're not in crisis, we’re in October,” said Zidane after the game. “It’s been four draws, three actually, not including the Champions League draw.
“When you've been ahead [at the top] it's tough, but I'm not going to lose the plot. The only thing I see is that we need to work more, put in more intensity at the start of the games, as we were doing, but haven't been as much lately.”
Real Madrid head to face Real Betis after the international break and will be anxious to break their chain of disappointing results.
